The Menalon Trail is a long mountain hike that runs through the gorge of the river Lucius, the western reliefs of Mainalo, the valley of the river Mylaontas and the SE Gortyniaka Mountains. The route is 75 km long and passes through the settlements of Stemnitsa, Dimitsana, Zygovisti, Elati, Vitina, Nymfasia, Magouliana, Valtesiniko, Lagadia, activating the entire tourist infrastructure and services of Gortynia. It passes through all the historical and cultural elements of the zone that crosses and is connected with an endless side network of paths, thus offering a unique opportunity for the development of both hiking in Gortynia and Gortynia itself.
