You look at the Zygovisti-Elati path from afar, and you realize that it is much more than just a path to your destination. It's a journey through history, nature, and spirituality. It is a narrative adventure that unfolds like an old fairy tale.
We start from Zygovisti, passing through the old church of Agios Ioannis and Piso Vrisi. There begins the path that leads us to the Papa's Field, where Agios Georgios is waiting to welcome us. We continue along a broken path until Asoves, from where an artificially fixed path leads us to the spring Bourniades.
The hike continues with a smooth ascent to the terraced path of Bilalis, where we meet the old paths that led to Stemnitsa. From Bilalis, we descend to Lakka Koskitsa, where a large spring with a watering trough gives us the renewed energy we need.
And then, the steep crest allows us to dive deeper into the magic of the Vlachika plateau. We intertwined the old trails with the new ones, the cave of Lykos and the Bourboulistra spring. We arrived at the Paliochori Fountain and the beautiful church of Zoodochos Pigi. We continued on a stunning trail to Elati.
