01 A walk in the snow

Winter or summer, a walk on Menalo changes the mood.

You do not have to ski to enjoy the mountain in winter. These photographs are from a walk near the ski centre on a snowy day.

The roads through the forest are quiet, the firs are heavy with snow, and the cloud moves through the valley below you.

02 Before you go

Check the road first.

Mountain roads can be slow in winter. If snow is forecast, ask us what to expect before you set out, and give yourself time.

If you want to ski or sledge instead, see the ski centre.
